Our Authors Interview

Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we?!

Hey everyone! My name is Carrie and I write romance in all different flavors, though I do enjoy the paranormal variety the best! I live in North Carolina and have a daughter in college, a son in high school, and another son in elementary. I love to travel, read, write, and do photography.

What prompted you to pursue a career as a writer?

I have always enjoyed writing and finally decided to sit down and start a book, finish it, and publish it. I love telling a story that people can get lost in, relate to, cry and laugh with, and bring out the full range of emotions. Reading is my solace and I hope I can give that to those that give my books a chance.

Do you have any special writing habits?

Is procrastination a habit? Or special? No? Then no, not really! I write when I can and where I can. Having the boys home for school now is putting a lot of what I do on hold, but this too shall pass and I’ll be back at it!

When you write a new book, do you already have the whole story in mind or do you elaborate it along the way?

I have a general idea when I start to write. Then I let the characters take hold and lead me where they want to go. Every time I try to take control they laugh and go the opposite direction, so I’ve learned to just roll with it.

In your opinion what is the best book you have written? What’s your favourite book ever?

Best book, huh? Isn’t that like picking a favorite child? Pass. . but my favorite book ever, that I have written, is the first book I have ever written, Fanged and Confused.

How do you feel after writing a book?

Like I need a nap and a vacation. But, then I get inspired and want to push forward again. Its a thrill, like sky diving but a whole lot safer!

Tell us about your latest book and please put the link so our readers can find it.

Oh, so, my latest book is actually my very first contemporary romance! Rescue Me: Sam, a local firefighter, was just one of the guys. She trained and worked like everyone else. But, when tragedy strikes, leaving her down for the count, she finds herself accepting the assistance of a man who sees her as more than her job. A man who sees her as a woman, desirable, stubborn, and worthy, all things she’s not used to being. Jared has a cardinal rule in his profession. A patient, no matter who they may be, was just a patient while in his care. That was until Sam was rushed through his doors. The moment she looked him in the eye and did everything he expected her to not be able to do, he felt a need to see her as more than just another person in the emergency room. Like a storm crashing in the middle of summer, love can come quick and fast and if you aren’t ready, you’ll be caught off guard, needing a rescue when you’d least expect. https://amzn.to/2Njxxo1
