Let’s get you introduced to everyone, shall we?!
My name is Casey Campbell. I am a librarian and author of contemporary and paranormal romance as well as short horror.
What prompted you to pursue a career as a writer?
A life-long, obsessive reader, I decided to create the world’s I wanted to see with the endings I liked.
Do you have any special writing habits?
After so many years I have reclaimed my weekends. No more 7 days a week writing.
When you write a new book, do you already have the whole story in mind or do you elaborate it along the way?
I always have a main trope and at least one character. Example, lost in the wild/teen girl goes down in a plane. Then I’ll plot it out loosely including the end. Then it’s just fleshing out the support cast and bashing it out on my poor abused laptop.
In your opinion what is the best book you have written? What’s your favourite book ever?
I had a short story published in an anthology called Monsters we Forgot. Its about a man everyone assumes is mentally impaired who is actually being haunted by the stepfather who abused him. I liked the idea of looking beyond the skin. My favorite full novel is coming out soon. It’s a big, fun fantasy about Zelda, the missing queen of a lost world and her teenage son who she hasn’t told will morph into a warmonger on his 18th birthday. No mother copes well with their babies leaving home!
My favorite book of all time is impossible but a huge influence was Stephen Kings The Dead Zone when I was a teen. For the time it was so different and interesting.
How do you feel after writing a book?
Grateful I finished. Anxious about giving it to the world. Ready to start afresh.
Tell us about your latest book and please put the link so our readers can find it.
I just finished a fun contemporary romance trilogy set in New Zealand about a fierce and determined Veterinarian who will do anything to help animals, big and small, including taking on three very different men. One who wants to help her, one who wants to stop her and one who will happily kill her.

Do you have a new release? When? We want details.
I’m awaiting on a cover for a saucy novella that I am sneaking out in the next few weeks. A woman and her ex-husband’s best friend! Oh my!
